This is our first experience of staying in an apartment as we have always stayed in 5* hotels, however, we came to help my husband’s daughter who lives in Manilva aplus
We never normally leave reviews, however, we felt that our experience warranted one.
This is our first experience of staying in an apartment as we have always stayed in 5* hotels, however, we came to help my husband’s daughter who lives in Manilva and has just had baby number 4. Firstly Costa Holidays, specifically Sophie, were excellent to deal with. We had a couple of issues (which I’ll come to later) that she did her utmost to resolve. Positives: The location of the block is fabulous and apartment 953 is a great size with a wonderful terrace and outstanding views. Running alongside the beach and promenade, literally 1 minutes walk into the Marina, there are numerous restaurants and bars. Being so close we expected noise, however were pleasantly surprised that it was quiet. The apartment is very spacious, albeit slightly dated in decor, but very comfortable and clean with additional touches included. A couple of things to note. It was quite cool at night and the heater system in the lounge was only blowing cold air. We did inform Costa Holidays who sent an engineer straight away. Unfortunately, during our stay it couldn’t be fixed as a part was needed, however, Sophie did send round a heater which helped. The cooker didn’t work at all well, which again I reported and the owners have now ordered a new one. The underground parking is also very convenient, and the pool and ground areas are very well kept with plenty of sun loungers. |

In the kitchen there is only one bar stool and there really does need to be two.
Whilst there are mirrors in one of the bedrooms, a long mirror would be good.

Based on our experience, at certain times the drain smells in the master bedroom, bathroom and hallway, which were very unpleasant, and had this been constant, it would have been extremely difficult to live with. Having said that, this problem was intermittent and not enough to deter us from returning to this apartment - which we are already planning to do as we visit our family numerous times during the year. |

The apartment has excellent views of the sea and mountains from its roof top terrace. The whole experience from initial booking to collecting the keys is easy and well managed by Costa. The staff are very polite and always happy to help with any queplus

The staff are very polite and always happy to help with any queries, it’s also a plus having the Costa Holidays office in the Harbour, so if you have any questions it’s easy to call in to chat with the staff.

The only downside is that the sinks in the bathrooms drain very slowly and at certain times the drains can smell very bad, not sure if its an apartment issue or to do with the building complex. This is our third year visit and during this stay the aiplus

This is our third year visit and during this stay the air-conditioning was not working in the bedrooms, fortunately the outside temperature was in the high 20°/low 30°’s, any higher and it would have been a real issue. We reported the issue to Costa and fair play to them they requested an engineer for the next day, unfortunately the engineer took three days to arrive could not fix the issue before we left.

The apartment is in a great location near, the port of Duquesa, for restaurants the beach and only 5 minutes drive and you are in the countryside. Only 40 mins from Gibraltar and just over an hour to Malaga. The views of both the coastline and the moplus

The apartment is very spacious and well furnished with everything you could need. All very good.

Location is perfect with easy access to all local amenities. Fantastic views of mountains and sea. Spacious accommodation. All in all, the perfect place to relax and unwind. COVID-willing we will be back for more of the same!
